OVERVIEW

Mechanical filter can remove impurities from stock solution by using one or several filtration media under certain pressure for filtration. Filling materials generally include: quartz sand, anthracite, porous grain ceramics and manganese sand, and the user can select these filling materials according to actual conditions. These filling materials are mainly used to reduce water turbidity, and intercept and remove suspended substances, organic matters, colloidal particles, microorganisms, chlorine taste and odor and partial heavy metal ions in water, as one of traditional water treatment methods for water purification.

Working principle: mechanical filter (also called as multi-media filter and quartz filter). Mechanical filter is a pressure filter that suspended substances and colloidal particles in water by using refined quartz sand filter materials filled into the filter when water flows into the filtrating layer from top to bottom so as to reduce water turbidity. Performance: it is mainly used for water pretreatment of turbidity removal, water softening, electrodialysis and reverse osmosis, and is also applicable for surface water and groundwater, etc. The mechanical filter can effectively remove suspended substances, organic matters, colloids, silt and others in water.
